Standard Tags backs up the entire BarbershopTags.com database to your device, so search and sharing keep working even offline.
Standard Tags is designed from the ground up to work no matter the status of the BarbershopTags.com database. On first launch it creates a full local backup of the database. Don't worry, it's less than 10 MB! From then on, all searching happens entirely on your device; the online database is only touched to fetch sheet music or learning tracks for a tag you haven't viewed yet. And once you've viewed a tag, its sheet music is cached locally, so you can open it again even when you're offline.
Standard Tags isn't the first app to cache tags offline but tag singing is not a solo affair, so it goes further. Save and organize your favorites into unlimited Custom Lists, then publish one as a Curated List for every Standard Tags user to see. You can also share a tag entirely locally: send the shared file to a friend and it opens straight to the tag with sheet music ready to go - no waiting on the online database, ever again.
There's also an optional subscription. (Yes, yes - everything's a subscription these days.) It's entirely optional, and it unlocks Standard Tags' cloud features: back up and sync your favorites and lists across devices, and pull sheet music from our always-current cloud copy if BarbershopTags.com is slow to respond. We've set the price as low as we can to cover the cloud costs that keep it running.
